Families at Valleydale Elementary are encouraged to take part in the community schools advisory initiatives that are meant to get more people involved in the neighborhood. This Thursday, the school will also follow the weekly early dismissal schedule so that teachers can continue their professional development. The campus is also still promoting the enrollment period for the Mandarin Dual Language Immersion program for the 2026–2027 school year.
Q1. Are there any computer coding classes at Valleydale Elementary?
Ans. The school teaches students basic coding and digital citizenship as part of the technology curriculum to get them ready for the modern workplace.
Q2. What are the rules for birthday treats at Valleydale Elementary?
Ans. Parents are encouraged to bring non-food items to celebrations to help students with food allergies and encourage healthy habits.
Q3. Is there a reading challenge for all of Valleydale Elementary?
Ans. The principal runs a seasonal reading incentive program in which students get prizes for reaching certain literacy goals at home.
Q4. Does Valleydale Elementary have any teachers who specialize in physical education?
Ans. Certified instructors teach physical education classes every week to help students get better at working together, coordinating, and loving being active.
Q5. Is there a transitional kindergarten class at Valleydale Elementary?
Ans. There is a special TK program for kids who are old enough to fill the gap between preschool and kindergarten.
