Being Updated
To celebrate the academic progress of its TK students on their 100th day of school, Sitting Bull Academy recently had a "superhero" dress-up day. The academy was one of the best middle schools in the district because it did well on state-required tests. The main things that K–8 students are learning in ongoing school programs are honesty and service.
Q1. What sports teams can middle schoolers join at Sitting Bull Academy?
Ans. Students can try out for volleyball, basketball, and soccer teams that play against other schools in the High Desert area.
Q2. Does Sitting Bull Academy have a library just for K-8 students?
Ans. There is a big media center on campus with collections for both elementary and middle school students that are appropriate for their age.
Q3. How does Sitting Bull Academy help students move from 6th to 7th grade?
Ans. To help sixth graders learn their new schedules and get around the bigger campus, the school has a "Bridge" orientation day.
Q4. Do students at Sitting Bull Academy have any chances to be leaders?
Ans. Students can run for ASB (Associated Student Body) offices to plan school events and speak for their classmates.
Q5. Are students at Sitting Bull Academy able to take high school math?
Ans. Depending on how well they do on their placement test, qualified 8th graders may be able to take Algebra I for high school credit.
Note: Schedules may change during school holidays. Please contact School for exact Schedule.
