Q1. How do students typically arrive at Altadena Elementary each day?
Ans. Most students come with their families, either by car or walking if they live close by. A few also use local buses, depending on what works for them.
Q2. Are there opportunities for students to participate in extra-curricular activities?
Ans. Yes, students do get chances to join activities outside class from time to time. These are not always regular, but they do come up during the year in different forms.
Q3. How do teachers address student behavior and expectations in the classroom?
Ans. At the beginning, teachers go over how the class runs so students have a clear idea of what to do. After a little time, most of them pick it up, and the class runs pretty smoothly.
Q4. What is the atmosphere during lunchtime on campus for students?
Ans. Lunchtime tends to be easygoing. Kids sit with their friends, eat, chat, and enjoy a short break before going back to class.
Q5. How do new students adjust to campus life when starting mid-year?
Ans. Starting in the middle of the year can feel a bit unfamiliar at first. Still, once they get through the first few days and see how things run, it starts to feel normal.
