In February 2026, Ramona Elementary School held a large community event to celebrate the Lunar New Year. The students and their families came out to celebrate at this cultural event which included a variety of student performances and active participation from all students. Various aspects of the culture associated with this holiday were on display and members of the community were able to participate in the activities outside the school's front entrance on the campus on 6th Street. The school is demonstrating a continuing commitment to provide cultural education and build strong partnerships with families throughout their K-8 programming.
Q1. What types of extracurricular programs are available at Ramona Elementary School?
Ans. Ramona Elementary has a variety of extracurricular activities available for students, including programs for student leadership, performing arts, and seasonal clubs. Most of these extracurricular activities will be designed in order to foster creativity, teamwork, and social development in addition to their academic programs.
Q2. Does Ramona Elementary have after school childcare/extended learning programs?
Ans. Several students are participating in structured after school programs. These recognize that working parents need after school supervision for their children and provide students with a safe place to be after regular school hours; they also provide students with time to do homework, do recreational activities, and take part in enrichment activities.
Q3. What types of technology resources do students use at Ramona Elementary:
Ans. Most classrooms utilize several different types of digital instructional tools - interactive displays, student devices, and online learning platforms. Teachers utilize technology in their instruction such as Math, Science and Literacy and also help the students to develop digital literacy skills.
Q4. What do parents have as options for keeping themselves informed about their child's progress and school events?
Ans. Parents receive updates from schools generally through newsletters, electronic forms of communication, and during parent-teacher conferences. When using the above-mentioned forms of communication parents can see how their child is progressing academically, when their child has up-coming events, and will receive any important announcements about school.
Q5.Are family members allowed to participate in activities held by Ramon Elementary School?
Ans.Services that allow parents to contribute include the Parent Participation Organization, family volunteers, and public events through schools. Each of these arrangements helps connect the school and home to work together to achieve their common goal of providing a positive experience for our children at school and beyond.
