Q1. Are there any afterschool programs available for students at Granada Elementary?
Ans. Several students participate in a supervised after-school program that may include homework assistance, enrichment and recreational programs. The programming provided usually fluctuates from year to year based on school district partnerships and staffing.
Q2. What types of extracurricular programs do you offer at Granada?
Ans. Families of students may have opportunities to participate in extracurricular clubs, arts programs and events to support learning that is taking place in the academic classroom. Some examples of this may include; music programs, cultural events and leadership development opportunities for students.
Q3. Is there available support for ELL students at Granada?
Ans. Yes, ELL students receive specific language development instructions with additional classroom supports aimed at increasing educational vocabulary and communication skills.
Q4. How do families register for enrollment at Granada?
Ans. Families register for student enrollment at Granada through Alhambra Unified School District by completing district required registration documents, residency verification and immunization records within the district's registration system.
Q5. Is there transportation provided for students attending Granada?
Ans. Transportation provided is based upon district policy and student eligibility. The majority of families residing immediately outside the bounds of the school will either walk or provide their own transport for their students to/from school.
