Maya Lin School in Alameda is buzzing with excitement as it continues to change the way students learn by combining new arts and cultural events.
The school recently made news for being part of the "Art Changes" program, which brings a variety of Bay Area artists into the classroom. The Soundsuits Parade was a big hit because students wore sculptures that were inspired by the work of artist Nick Cave. Students made "second skins" out of a wide range of materials, from beads to recycled ones.
