Westside Park Elementary is working with health groups in the area to hold a series of workshops for students to help them stay healthy in mind and body. The school's recent multicultural fair was a big success. Families learned about different cultures there. Students gave presentations and ran interactive booths. Now, staff members are helping fifth graders get ready for the 2026 middle school orientation sessions.
Q1. Does Westside Park Elementary School have a separate music room for the choir and band?
Ans. A special multi-purpose room is used for music lessons every week and for different student performances throughout the year.
Q2. How does Westside Park Elementary School use technology in its daily lessons?
Ans. Every student has their own device that they can use to do research and work together digitally in the classroom.
Q3. What does Westside Park Elementary School do when there are emergency drills or lockdowns?
Ans. To make sure everyone is ready for emergencies, staff and students do fire, earthquake, and safety drills once a month.
Q4. Are there any coding or robotics activities for kids at Westside Park Elementary School?
Ans. The technology curriculum for older students at the school includes basic digital literacy and beginner coding exercises.
Q5. What can parents do to help the Westside Park Elementary School Parent Teacher Association?
Ans. Families can sign up during orientation or come to monthly evening meetings to help plan fun activities for the whole school.
