Being Updated
The fourth Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day at Gage Elementary School just ended, and it was a big success! The students planned everything to honor bravery, equality, and schools that welcome everyone. A lot of people from the school, their families, and the neighborhood came out. This shows that the school really cares about diversity and wants every student to feel at home.
Before that, Gage Elementary was also part of Lights On Afterschool. Everyone got to see how great after-school programs can be for kids' health, grades, and creativity.
The school is working with the district to try to get some extra money. They want to make the San Diego Unified School District's offerings better so that everyone can enjoy them. All of this shows that Gage Elementary really wants to get kids involved, help them learn more, and make the school a happy place for everyone.
