Corte Sierra Elementary School, down at 3300 N Santa Fe Trail in Avondale, Arizona, is a public school that's part of the Litchfield Elementary School District. They've got kids from pre-K all the way through 6th grade. It's known as one of the best elementary schools around here.About 550 kids go there, and the teacher-to-student ratio is around 17:1. The school's got a mix of students, with around 74% coming from minority groups, mostly Hispanic backgrounds. Academically, they're doing pretty well. About half the kids are good at reading and English, and a bit more than half are good at math, which is better than the average for the state. The school really focuses on making it a good place for students, staff, and everyone in the community.

Litchfield Elementary School District #79 will work with the Avondale Police Department to put on a drill for active shooter situations at Corte Sierra Elementary on June 30, 2025. The aim is to improve school-safety steps and how first responders work together. No students or educators will be there.

Ans. Yes, the school includes science, tech, engineering, and math (STEM) in its lessons. It also has tech, robotics, and science fair activities so kids can learn by doing.
Q2. What help does the school give students who are new to the district?
Ans. Corte Sierra has orientation meetings, pairs new kids with classmates, and has teachers check in with them. This helps them get used to the school.
