Little Rock, Arkansas's Pulaski Heights Elementary School is a public school for grades K–5 that is part of the Little Rock School District. With about 270 to 280 students, the school has a student-teacher ratio of 19:1. This means that the classrooms are a little bigger than the district average, but they are still set up to support good teaching. The school has a full academic program that focuses on reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Art, music, and physical education are some of the enrichment activities that help make learning more balanced. Recent test results show that 52% of students are good at math and 57% are good at reading. This is better than the average for schools in the state in these subjects. There are students from many different racial and ethnic groups at Pulaski Heights Elementary, which makes the school a welcoming place for everyone. The school is in the historic Hillcrest neighborhood, which is a good place for the community to get involved and is close to established residential areas.
