The Fayetteville Public Schools (FPS) district is coming up with a new plan for how to use artificial intelligence (AI) in schools, and Holt Middle School is part of the community-wide consultation and planning process.
Holt recently got a new School Resource Officer (SRO) on campus. This is part of the district's plan to update its safety staff for the 2024–25 school year.
As part of a program to teach students about careers and how to run a facility, the district's maintenance staff showed them how to do real-world trades like electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
The new statewide school-grading system gave Holt Middle School a "B" grade as of the 2024–25 accountability report. This shows that schools in the district are doing well.
