Being Updated
A new outdoor learning program at Anne Wien Elementary in Fairbanks, Alaska, has gotten a lot of good press in the community. The school has set up special outdoor classrooms that make the most of Alaska's natural beauty. This gives students a chance to do science, literature, and cultural studies in a hands-on way. This method helps people feel more connected to the local ecosystem and gives them unique, real-world learning experiences that they can't get in a classroom. The program is a good fit for the community's love of the outdoors, and parents and local environmental groups have been very supportive of it.
