The University of Alaska Anchorage still has a one-of-a-kind dual-enrollment program that lets students earn both high school and college credits at the same time. The school focused on hands-on technical training in late 2025 and early 2026. Students have done very well in woodworking and automotive body programs that let them work on real cars and woodwork. The district's main goal is to make sure that all of its students are ready for college and work. These programs help with that by letting students work in real college classrooms.
