Q2. How does a student enroll at Barbe Elementary?
Ans. Enrollment is based on residency within the school's designated attendance zone as determined by the Calcasieu Parish School Board. Parents must register the student through the CPSB system, providing documentation to verify the address.
Q3. What is the policy on hooded outerwear?
Ans. Outerwear for the classroom is limited (sweater, vest, sweatshirt, light jacket). Attached hoods are prohibited from being worn in the school building at any time.
Q4. Does the school offer Gifted and Talented services?
Ans. Yes. The school coordinates with the CPSB's local program, called SPARK/REACH (Seeking Purposeful Analytical Realistic Knowledge), which is the program for academically gifted students in Calcasieu Parish.
