Money Counter

MoonCampaign by Tilak (8 years)

My project is called the Money Counter. I wanted to create something different, so instead of using the random option like many others, I used variables to build a working money calculator. I set the starting money to zero, and if button A is pressed, the amount increases by one; if button B is pressed, it decreases. When your saved amount reaches the target, it displays a message saying you can buy it!

All about Tilak project

I am excited to share my project called the Money Counter, which I created using the micro:bit. When I started thinking about what to make, I noticed that many students were using the random option in their projects. I wanted to try something different—something that used logic and variables—so I decided to build a program that works like a simple digital wallet.

I began by creating a variable called money and setting its initial value to zero. This value changes based on which button is pressed. When button A is pressed, the money increases by one. When button B is pressed, the money decreases by one. Each time the value changes, the micro:bit scrolls the updated amount on its LED display so the user can clearly see how much money they have.
