Bright Motion

MoonCampaign by Tejus (11 years)

I created Bright Motion, a smart motor control system using Arduino and Tinkercad. This project helps simulate how young drivers can safely control vehicle speed. I used a potentiometer to set the speed limit, a push button to control acceleration and braking, and NeoPixel LEDs to display the current state with colors—green for acceleration, blue for slowing down, and red for braking. Through this project, I learned about PWM (Pulse Width Modulation), analog vs. digital inputs, and how embedded systems work in real-life applications like robotics and vehicle control.

All about Tejus project

I’m excited to share my project called Bright Motion: Combining Light and Drive. Imagine you're a new driver trying to control your car’s speed safely—Bright Motion is designed to help you do exactly that. It's a smart motor control system I built using Arduino Uno in Tinkercad, and it simulates how a car might control speed based on driver input.

In this project, a potentiometer sets the maximum allowed speed, just like a digital speed limiter. When you press the push button, the motor accelerates gradually up to that speed. The NeoPixel LED lights up green to show acceleration. When the button is released, the motor gradually slows down and the LED turns blue, signaling deceleration. If the brake is pressed, the LED turns red, and the motor stops immediately.
