Casey Jones brings over eight years of experience counseling undergraduate students through the graduate school application process, with a particular passion for helping students identify research programs aligned with their career goals in academia, healthcare, business, industry, or government. She excels at guiding students as they craft compelling personal statements that showcase their unique backgrounds and demonstrate fit with their target programs. Casey has helped students gain admission to top graduate programs including Cornell, Columbia, University of Washington at Seattle, UC-San Francisco, UC-Davis, UCLA, Yale, Northeastern, University of Oregon, University of Wisconsin Madison, University of Minnesota, Washington State University, and University of Michigan.

In addition to graduate advising, Casey has 22 years of tutoring experience and eight years of college-level teaching. She specializes in helping high school and college students overcome challenges in science and math by building resilience, fostering a growth mindset, and creating meaningful connections between subjects. Her students consistently report increased confidence and improved grades under her mentorship.?

Casey earned her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Reed College and her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Princeton University. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship in Biomedical Engineering at Oregon Health & Science University, she served as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Lewis & Clark College for eight years, where she taught Organic Chemistry and advised undergraduates from first-year students through seniors applying to graduate school. She has mentored over 100 undergraduate advisees in developing four-year college plans and graduate and career strategies, with a 100% graduate school admission rate for students who received her letters of recommendation. Her teaching has earned her a 6.6 out of 7 rating from anonymous evaluations, and she has taught more than 1,000 college students since 2013.?

Casey is committed to decoding the college and graduate admissions process, particularly for first-generation college students and underrepresented groups. She is a member of the National Tutoring Association, Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, and the American Chemical Society.
