I designed and developed Genius Hub – Palpate, a revolutionary software that enables physically challenged individuals to control electronic devices using hand gestures—no buttons needed. I also created NutrOmeter, a camera-based device that identifies food items and provides instant nutritional information, empowering people to track their eating habits and make healthier choices.
An innovative camera-based application (using Arduino Uno and IDE) that recognizes custom hand gestures and instantly translates them into device commands—making daily interactions seamless and touch-free.
A camera-based nutrition tracker designed to provide instant nutritional information about food items. With just the click of a button, NutrOmeter identifies the dish and displays details like calories, grams, and other nutritional values—helping users maintain healthier eating habits. It can also be deployed in college cafeterias so students can make informed food choices every day.
From concept to competition: Puneeth refined his idea during MoonBattle Season 2, earning a pitch opportunity at the MoonBattle Conference 2024 in Milpitas, Silicon Valley.
I created Genius Hub – Palpate, a gesture-controlled software app that allows physically challenged individuals to operate devices through simple hand movements, making technology more accessible and inclusive. I presented this project at MoonBattle Season 2 , where I gained valuable feedback and hands-on experience. I also developed NutrOmeter, a camera-based device that provides instant nutritional information about food items to promote healthier eating habits, which I showcased at the MoonBattle Conference . Both projects strengthened my skills in user-centric design and demonstrated how innovation can create meaningful real-world impact.
Learn moreI created Genius Hub – Palpate during MoonBattle Season 2 , a gesture-controlled software app that enables users to operate electronic devices without physical touch. Using camera-based recognition paired with Arduino Uno and customizable gesture mappings, the system detects simple hand bends to perform actions like adjusting volume or navigating files, making technology more inclusive and intuitive. I also developed NutrOmeter, a camera-based device that provides instant nutritional information about food items to encourage healthier eating habits, which I presented at the MoonBattle Conference. Showcasing these projects live was exhilarating and reinforced my passion for building innovations that make a real-world impact.
Learn moreI led a hands-on, in-person STEM workshop at my school, guiding over 60 enthusiastic young learners through foundational concepts in gesture-based technology and programming. I also demonstrated how gesture-controlled software can help people with disabilities, inspiring participants to think inclusively about technology.
