South Middle School celebrated the completion of a two-and-a-half-year, $42.7 million renovation project in October 2025. The work was funded by a 2022 facilities referendum and included remodeled classrooms, updated lighting and electrical systems, a new fitness center, and a renovated gymnasium. Additional upgrades included new lockers, refreshed interior paint with the school’s updated logo, and a new main entrance.
