Garland McMeans Junior High School is located at 21001 Westheimer Pkwy, Katy, TX 77450. Students here attend grades 6 through 8 within Katy Independent School District. About 1,168 students attend the school, making it one of the larger junior high campuses in this part of Katy. The student–teacher ratio is approximately 15:1, which keeps classroom groups within a fairly typical range for a campus of this size. The student body includes roughly 50% male and 50% female students. According to state assessment data, about 85% of students meet proficiency in mathematics and around 82% in reading.
