In late August 2025, Guillen Middle opened a new eSports Lab. It was the first of its kind in El Paso ISD. The lab was set up by the district as a way to combine competitive gaming with learning opportunities based on science, technology, engineering, and math. The new space is meant to help students stay interested and come to school by using technology in the classroom.
