Latest News

Pittsburgh South Hills 6-8 is starting 2026 with a new focus on cultural diversity and preparing students for the future. It will continue to be a STAR School in the Pittsburgh Public Schools. Recently, the campus improved its regional English as a Second Language (ESL) program, which gives its diverse international student body of over 100 students full support. Students are also taking new hands-on electives in STEM and world languages like French, Italian, and Russian. These classes help students get ready for high school by bridging the gap between middle school and high school. The school's "Husky" community is also doing well thanks to more restorative practices and a lot of interscholastic sports that help students become better leaders and people.
