A.I. Root Middle School is located at 274 Hudson Avenue in the Parma area of Ohio. The school serves grades 6 to 8 with approximately 700 students enrolled. Instruction operates with a student–teacher ratio near 15:1. Academic performance shows around 78% math proficiency and about 82% reading proficiency. The student body is 55% male and 45% female. The school got its name because it uses a balanced approach that teaches students not only academics but also how to be mentally strong and well-organized. Most homes in the area around here cost between $200,000 and $360,000. These numbers are for mature neighborhoods that are easy to walk around and have parks and other services nearby. Root Middle School is working hard to be one of the best middle schools in Ohio by keeping up good grades and focusing on being ready for school.
