Yorktown Middle School is in the news because it was recently named a 2024-25 Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished School. This shows how dedicated the school is to providing excellent STEM education. The students at the school are also doing well. Many of them are involved in programs like TAPS Academy, which gives young people the skills they need to become leaders and works with the police.
