A topping-off ceremony was held in December 2025 to celebrate progress on the district’s significant renovation project that includes Henry J. McLaughlin Jr. Middle School. Construction will add more than 35,000 square feet to the school, including a sheltered internal courtyard for school and community use. Officials and community leaders signed the final structural beam before lifting it into place, marking a visible milestone in improving learning spaces
