Sherwood Githens Middle advanced to the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals after winning first place in back-to-back regional and state tournaments. The team is scheduled to travel to Iowa State University for the World Finals event May 27 through May 30. This achievement is a sign of high performance in creative problem solving and in academic competition in teams. The school’s enrichment and STEM-related programs get a major distinction from going to the international-level finals.
