Shreveport, which is the cultural and economic center of Northwest Louisiana, will have about 176,500 people living there. The city is along the Red River and has a low cost of living, a strong healthcare system, and Southern hospitality. Its also a wonderful place for families. There are a lot of public middle schools and a few well-known private middle schools. The citys schools have specialized magnet programs, STEM programs, and a lot of extracurricular activities that help students move from elementary to high school. Shreveport is a wonderful place for families who want a school that is both academically challenging and supportive, with a strong sense of community that values both student success and the areas history. This is because schools usually do very well on statewide performance rankings.
