Being Updated
The Eva Legard Learning Center is getting a lot of attention for its new way of teaching STEM subjects, which focuses on coastal environmental studies through hands-on learning. The school has teamed up with LSU and The Water Institute to give students hands-on learning opportunities in math, science, technology, and engineering. Eva Legard is a "Focus Choice" school, which means that anyone can apply and the school focuses on preparing students for careers in environmental fields. This one-of-a-kind model is being copied all over the country, which shows how effective it is.
