Prairie Creek is 401 76th Avenue SW in the southwest part of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The school is for students in grades 7 and 8. There are about 850 students enrolled. The student–teacher ratio is 16:1. 61% of people are good at math. 61% of people can read well. There are 49% male and 51% female. The school is focused on academics and has a structured environment with routines that encourage students to take responsibility and make steady progress. Prairie Creek recently hosted a winter band concert and completed 6th grade MAP testing. The school is working to improve proficiency scores, which are currently below state averages.
