Ponus Ridge STEAM Academy received high honors in 2025 for its project-based engineering curriculum, which has become a model for other Connecticut magnet schools. Ponus Ridge STEAM Academy students won first place in the 2026 regional robotics competition, advancing to the state finals. Ponus Ridge STEAM Academy expanded its digital arts laboratory in early 2026 to include professional-grade 3D printing and VR design tools.

Ans. Every day, the academy's modern science labs have special tools for doing hands-on experiments and technical research projects.

Ans. Yes, the curriculum includes lessons in coding and computer science to help students learn important technical skills that they will need in the future.
