The Ventura Unified School District named Cabrillo Middle School the best fundraising school in February 2026 for its work on the annual Cheers for Children campaign. Through the districtwide program, the school has raised more than $17,000 in the past few years to help families in the area. The award shows that Cabrillo Middle was the best school in VUSD for that campaign period.
