About Strawberry Elementary

Strawberry Elementary School is located at 2311 Horseshoe Drive, Santa Rosa, CA 95405. It serves students in grades 4 through 6, a span that bridges upper elementary to early middle school learning. The school’s enrollment is approximately 378 students with a student–teacher ratio near 27:1. The student body is composed of about 51% male students and 49% female students. According to state assessment data, about 46% of students meet math proficiency standards and roughly 64% meet reading benchmarks, figures that exceed California’s statewide averages for similar grade levels. The campus is a public elementary site within the Bennett Valley Union Elementary School District that focuses on academic foundations and exploration across its grade span. Rather than functioning as a traditional middle school with grades 6–8, this school’s grade structure consolidates students in the upper elementary years, creating a transitional environment before junior high. Single-family homes near the campus generally list in the mid-$800,000 range, reflecting housing values in this part of Santa Rosa’s residential market. In that local residential and instructional setting, Strawberry Elementary is included among the top middle schools in California, where strong proficiency outcomes and grade span configuration highlight how families engage with the upper middle grade experience in this Bay Area community.
