Deborah Collins, a science teacher at Landmark Middle School, was honored in May 2025 for leading students in an experiment called "The Effects of Microgravity on Arugula." The project took off on SpaceX-31 in October 2024 and went to the International Space Station as part of a student research program. The award was given to Landmark Middle for taking part in a scientific experiment in space that was done in partnership with a national aerospace mission.
