Parkersburg South High School has officially begun digging for a new baseball and softball complex at the Erickson All-Sports Facility. The complex will have modern turf fields and better amenities for fans in the coming seasons. The school also celebrated a record-breaking achievement by its marching band, which recently finished a historic season without losing a single game and received official recognition from state officials. The school has also started new wellness programs, such as putting "telehealth backpacks" in the nurse's office so that students can get medical care right away using technology.
