The academic team from Morgantown High School just won the 2025 Academic Showdown Grand Championship for the third year in a row. The school will get a $1,000 grant to help with future programs. In early 2026, the Speech and Debate team also did very well, with students winning top honors at the American Legion Regional Speech Contest. The state also recently named the school a Champion of College Access and Success because it is dedicated to giving all students more chances to go to college and do well there.
