Robert C. Byrd High School has successfully welcomed a lot of new students since the county's recent consolidations. The school has a new building that can support more academic and extracurricular activities. This year, the school's fine arts department reached a big goal: a sophomore musician was chosen as one of only 300 students in the country to play in the 2026 Rose Bowl Bands of America Honor Band during the Tournament of Roses Parade. The school is also still committed to helping students succeed after high school.
