It is part of the East Valley School District and serves students in grades 9 through 12. The school has about 1,200 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 18:1, which helps with focused academic instruction. East Valley High School is one of the three high schools in the district, and it is one of the best high schools in Washington. The school has a lot of different academic programs, such as Advanced Placement classes and tests. About 18% of students take AP classes. Students can also take honors classes, career and technical education pathways, and extracurricular activities that help them get ready for college and work. Data on academic performance show that about 36% of students are good at math and about 57% are good at reading. These are the areas where students get extra help and instruction. The school offers chances to take the SAT and ACT tests. A $220 million bond measure will help East Valley High School rebuild and fix up district buildings, including new science labs to get students ready for jobs in the modern world. The school recently held its Annual Falcon Fest, which showed off the talents and accomplishments of its students. The Media & Tech Magnet students at the school also won the All-Region North LAUSD Attendance & Engagement Challenge with a stop-motion animation video.
