Kent-Meridian High School

Kent-Meridian High School is a public high school in Kent, Washington. It is in the Kent School District and teaches kids in grades 9 through 12. The school has about 1,600 to 1,700 students, and there are about 18 students for every teacher. Students learn and grow as people in this structured setting. There are seven high schools in the district, and Kent-Meridian High School is one of them. It is in the one of the best ranked in Washington. 20% of students take AP classes. As part of their plans for after high school, students also take the SAT and ACT.

Forever a Royal is a mural that Kent-Meridian High School recently unveiled. It was made by students to honor students and staff who made a lasting impression on the school community. Mayor Dana Rauch praised the mural for its strong message and beautiful art. Also, Kent-Meridian juniors Tee, Jazlynne, and Tyanna were named regional finalists in the Next Narrative Monologue Competition. Tyanna won the regional competition and moved on to the national final in New York City. The school's wrestling team also had a great year. Senior Jessie Neff won the Boys 3A Wrestling State Championship.
