About Innovations High School

Innovations High School is a public alternative school in Salt Lake City, Utah, for students in grades 9–12. It is one of six high schools in the Salt Lake City School District and is known for its unique blended learning model that lets students work at their own pace. This method lets its about 200 students work closely with mentors while keeping a student-to-teacher ratio of about 18:1, which is good for students. The student body is made up of people from many different cultures. 62% of the students are from minority groups, and 42% are considered to be economically disadvantaged, and it is one of the best High School in "Utah" . Innovations High School says that only 10% of its students are good at math and 26% are good at reading. The school is set up to be flexible, which is great for students who do better when they don't have a set schedule. It is known as one of the best schools for student agency because the district gives each student about $14,942. Its strengths are that it encourages independence and gives each student a unique path to graduation.

Innovations High School is still the best at personalized education. Its blended learning model is growing, which lets students move through the curriculum at their own pace with help from faculty mentors. The school recently moved into a newly renovated building on the Salt Lake Community College South City campus. This gives students immediate access to college-level resources and classrooms. A new college-readiness lab is also part of the new programs. In this lab, students can get one-on-one help with their applications for concurrent enrollment and financial aid.
