Recently, Sam Rayburn High School opened its new Automotive Technology Shop, which is fully equipped for students to get professional certifications and start careers in the automotive industry. The Houston Texans gave the school a $20,000 "Grow the Game" grant that will help pay for new field signs and high-quality equipment for the football team. Also, the campus continues to do well in the arts. Recently, several students won top honors in the 2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for their outstanding creativity.
