In Lubbock, Texas, Lubbock High School is a public magnet high school. It is in the Lubbock Independent School District and serves students in grades 9–12. The school has about 1,893 students, and there is one teacher for every 16.6 students. This helps make learning in the classroom organized and useful. Lubbock High School has a college-prep curriculum that includes Advanced Placement (AP) courses, International Baccalaureate (IB) programs, and AP Capstone Diploma options to help students get ready for college. The students come from many different ethnic groups. Most are Hispanic, but there are also students who are African American, White, or Asian. Recent data shows that 35% of students are good at math and 57% are good at reading (ELA). This means that they are doing well in school, but they are better at reading than math. The school wants students to take the SAT and ACT, which are tests that students need to pass to get into college. It also has clubs, sports, and other activities outside of school.

The Texas Education Agency gave Lubbock High School a "A" for accountability in the 2024–25 ratings. This was because the school had a high graduation rate and did well overall. This was part of Lubbock ISD's improved district scores, which show that all campuses are making academic progress.
