The Nueces County Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program (JJAEP) has improved its academic support by adding specialized core subject interventions that help students stay on track to graduate. The facility recently started a new program to help students learn life skills and develop their character. The program focuses on how to resolve conflicts and communicate professionally to help students get ready to go back to their home campuses. The program also works with local workforce development partners to offer all enrolled students vocational guidance and career-readiness workshops.
