About Exeter Twp SHS

Exeter Township Senior High School is a public high school in Reading, Pennsylvania, that serves students in grades 9 through 12. The Exeter Township School District only has one high school. There are 1,400 to 1,500 students at the school, and each teacher has 16 students. This helps keep students interested in class when they live in the suburbs. Exeter Township Senior High School offers a wide range of classes, including Advanced Placement® classes and tests. One in four students is in an AP class. Students can also get help with planning for college by taking the SAT and ACT tests, getting academic counseling, and doing things that help them learn more. The school puts a lot of emphasis on getting students ready for college through structured lessons and activities outside of school. The students are not all the same, but they are also not that different. About 33% of them are minorities, and about 40% of them can get help with their money from programs. 72% of students are good at reading and 32% are good at math, according to their proficiency levels for the 2025–2026 school year. There are some exciting news about Exeter Township Senior High School! Recently, 46 students joined the National Honor Society and three students were inducted into the Academic Hall of Fame. The school also honored students for their musical accomplishments. For example, 31 students were chosen to represent Exeter at County and District Music Festivals. A student firefighter was also honored for his brave actions, which showed how much the school cares about helping others.
