About Erie County Technical School

Erie County Technical School is a public high school in Erie, Pennsylvania that serves students in grades 10–12. There are about 1,300 to 1,400 students at the school, and there is one teacher for every 14 students. In a structured technical setting, this lets people learn by doing and get personalized instruction. Erie County Technical School is known for its career-focused approach to education. It offers programs in skilled trades, health sciences, information technology, manufacturing, culinary arts, and other fields that get students ready for the job market. Students usually spend time on both schoolwork and technical training, which helps them learn useful skills as well as their main subjects. The school also helps students get ready for college and jobs by letting them take the SAT and ACT tests together when they can. The students in the participating districts come from a wide range of backgrounds, which makes the learning community more friendly and open to everyone. Because the school has a special way of teaching, it is not possible to get data on how well students do in math and reading. The school is in the Erie area, which is good because it has strong ties to colleges and businesses in the area.
