Allentown, Pennsylvania is home to Parkland High School, a public high school. The Parkland School District only has one high school, and it serves students in grades 9 through 12. The school has between 3,200 and 3,300 students and about 15 students for every teacher. This helps make the academic environment broad and structured. There are a lot of different academic options at Parkland High School, like Advanced Placement® classes and tests. About 30% of students are in AP® classes. The school also gives students the SAT and ACT tests to help them get ready for college and plan for their future.There are a lot of different kinds of students at the school. About 42% of them are minorities and 35% come from low-income families. For the school year 2025–2026, 55% of students are good at math and 81% are good at reading and ELA. The fact that Parkland High School is the 97th best school in Pennsylvania shows how well it does in school. Parkland High School is in a safe suburban area where the school culture is lively. Parkland High School is starting a huge expansion project that will add 30 new classrooms, 16 state-of-the-art labs, and better traffic flow. The project is expected to be done by December 2027. The $68 million project is meant to deal with rising enrollment and cut down on overcrowding.
