Jay Young Coller, a senior at Sunset Park High School, testified before the City Council Committee on Finance asking the committee to support after-school programs, and telling how the Center of Family Life’s D. Troupe helped him pursue both filmmaking and theater. The student plans to study filmmaking and theater at Brooklyn College in the fall, and thanked the dedicated staff for investing in his goals. The school’s HEAT soccer team had a successful fall 2025 season on the field and contributed to building school spirit.
