Recently, Paul Abundez became the new principal of Tierra Encantada Charter School. He will be in charge of the school's specialized dual-language and project-based learning programs. The school has made its commitment to college readiness even stronger by opening its lottery for 2026–2027 and holding special financial aid nights to help seniors with the transition to college. Additionally, the campus is improving its bilingual curriculum by allowing students to earn the New Mexico State Seal of Bilingualism-Biliteracy along with their high school diplomas.
