Latest News

In January 2026, the school held a successful winter graduation ceremony. Graduates to ok part in the long-standing tradition of receiving roses and ringing a ceremonial bell to mark the end of their time at the school. The Rio Rancho Fire and Rescue Department also recently named Independence High "School of the Year" for its excellent adherence to fire safety and campus safety rules. In the future, the campus may grow physically, with plans for a new building in the next few years. Also, for the school year 2025–2026.
