William L. Dickinson High School is a public high school in Jersey City, New Jersey. It is one of eight high schools in the Jersey City Public Schools district, which serves students in grades 9 through 12. There is one teacher for every 14 to 15 students at the school, which has about 1,200 students. This gives kids a structured place to learn that helps them grow both in and out of school. There are a lot of different programs at William L Dickinson High School. These are Advanced Placement® (AP®) classes, core academic classes, and elective pathways. About 34% of students take AP® classes, which are harder than regular classes and help them get ready for college. There are a lot of different kinds of students at the school. About 67% economically disadvantaged, and about 84% are not white. About 25% of students are good at math and 30% are good at reading in 2025–2026. Fiona Graham, a student at William L. Dickinson High School, received a $2,500 check from the NY Jets for the Latino Excellence in Youth Football Award for her great play on the school's Girls Flag Football team. The school is also putting on a number of events, such as the eMerge Showcase and the Bilingual/ESL/WL Proclamation Ceremony. Dickinson High School has also teamed up with YPIE, a non-profit group, to help students get ready for college and get into college.
