Apex High School is a public high school in Apex, North Carolina. It is a school in the Wake County Public School System. There are between 1,600 and 1,800 students in grades 9 through 12 at the school. There is about one teacher for every 15 students, which helps make the school a structured and supportive place to learn. Apex High School has a well-rounded curriculum that prepares students for college. It offers Advanced Placement (AP) courses, honors classes, Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, fine arts, and sports. The school stresses a lot the importance of students being responsible, doing well in school, and being ready for college or university. The students come from many different backgrounds, just like the people who live in the growing Apex community. About 54% of students are good at math and about 73% are good at reading (ELA). The state and local governments give Apex High School money because it is a public school. A lot of students take tests like the SAT and ACT to see if they are ready for college.
